This is Christopher Doyle Personal Identity Guidelines, 2008. Photography by Ian Haigh. This piece is currently on display at ’Graphic Design - Now in Production’ on Governors Island, co-organized by Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and the Walker Art Center. This is the description from the piece explained there:

To maintain consistency across their communications, many organizations create guidelines that establish the elements of their visual identity. Sydney-based graphic designer Christopher Doyle appropriated the format and language of guideline documents tot create an amusing set of rules for himself that establish the appropriate color palette, correct usage in black and white, clearance space, and more. Even his tone of voice is subject to regulation: “My verbal expression has been equal parts of cynicism and positivity. While an overly cynical or critical tone can lead to negative perception, balancing this with humor and positivity provides me with a unique and ownable voice.”

Christopher is the July speaker for CreativeMornings/Sydney, taking place tomorrow. The Sydney chapter is hosted by Marie Agudera.
