“Women designers have the same reputation of women drivers. The truth is, there are many, many women designers, but, in the role of women, they are always behind a man. You go to any design studio, the man is very famous, but at the right-hand, there is always a woman designer – and she does it all.”
The speaker at this Friday’s CreativeMornings/Singapore is Kelley Cheng, the Editor-in-Chief of Singapore Architect magazine, who also runs her own publishing and design consultancy, The Press Room. She also serves regularly on the judging panels of local and international design competitions such as Red Dot Awards, Design for Asia, Creative Circle awards, and more. In 2010, Kelley was shortlisted as one of the “Most Inspirational Women” by Her World magazine.
Kelley will be the first female speaker to grace the stage of CreativeMornings/Singapore. Find out more about the event here. Above, is a talk Kelley gave at TEDxSingapore.
