This Friday marks the very first event for CreativeMornings/Barcelona. The event features illustrator extraordinaire Lapin, a French illustrator, artist and “urban sketcher.” Lapin’s work exists primarily in the fashion industry, but crosses through into advertising and editorial across Barcelona and Paris.
Lapin can be defined as an illustrator bearing his notebook and a working kit for the street or the subway, either in Istanbul or Tokyo. Drawing is a way for him to record every second of his life, making him feel more alive. Lapin says that he can sit and draw for hours or even just in the short instant of a metro stop.
Lapin has illustrated almost 150 books in the last 10 years and particularly likes drawing on old accounting books.
