I have a massive girlcrush on Emily Fischer, a.k.a. the Haptician, who runs Haptic Lab.
The Haptic Lab New York quilt is on my bed, I backed their Constellation Quilt Kickstarter and it’s in my hallway, and I am about to order one of their beautiful sailing ship kites.
Sometimes we find makers whose sensibility and aesthetic is what we also see in our own dreams and sketchbooks, and it’s such a treat to find them and then support them as best we can by ordering what they create.
Emily explains her design practice for a few minutes at a Creative Mornings event here, and I admire how she speaks simply and truthfully about what motivates her work and how it began.
