”I wear hats because, this way, I acknowledge the origins of the old Văcărești slums, out of which my family and I come. In addition, it is a sign of love and appreciation for my grandparents and great grandparents. For the same reason, I wear perforated T-shirts and flip flops, because my family has spent summers on the Bucharest sidewalks and, incidentally, I do and express the same thing.
I own Maradona printed T-shirts because when I was a child and strolled along the Văcărești Road, from my grandparents to my parents, back and forth, between numbers 206 and 302, at some point I began to think that at the center of the Universe there is a boy who is walking. Obviously, as a child, I didn’t realize that it was about me and about my personal universe. Instead, I associated this idea with Maradona. It was a build up which, years later, I found to be funny and I tried to interpret in some way.
