Sir John Hegarty (Paris)
A founding shareholder at Saatchi & Saatchi and the founder of TBWA, London, Sir John Hegarty is nothing short of a legend in the advertising realm. His talk features a powerful story on creativity and advertising.

SNASK is an internationally renowned Design, Brand & Film agency that creates the heart & soul of brands. Speaking at our Stockholm event, Fredrik Öst & Magnus Berg drop bombs of knowledge on how they found success in one of the best CreativeMornings talks to date.

Snask off!

Shorts Saturday!
We’ve pulled some of our favorite takeaways from popular talks to give you 2-5 minute videos packed with inspiration and motivation. The perfect length for a quick break between projects, or a preview before seeing if you’d like to watch the full 20 minute talk. Check them out.

Have 1:38 minutes to spare? Advertising legend George Lois tells you to have courage.

At CreativeMornings/Pittsburgh, Brad Frost speaks on information, bullshit, craft and the future. As part of our April theme, “The Future,” Brad talks on the information overload we currently experience, how most of it is bullshit, and what this means for us moving forward.

In a world where 10% of all the books written and photos taken came into existence in the last year, how do we get back to what is really important and keep ourselves sane. Brad believes that ‘craft’ is the answer to this, a belief that gives him hope for our future.

Sir John Hegarty was the speaker at last September’s CreativeMorning/Partis. He is one of the greatest ad-men worldwide. As the “H” and co-founder of communications agency BBH, Sir John plays the role of Creative Director. To him, we owe some of the legendary Levi’s, Audi, and Axe advertisements.

In this excellent talk, Sir John talks about how to maintain a creative philosophy, extend the length of your career, and take control.

Big hat tip to Mehiel Productions for video production.

At design legend George Lois’s profound CreativeMornings/NewYork talk this November, he ended with some powerful advice for creative types: Be courageous.

Thanks to the wonderful work of Ben Hallman, we put together this quick excerpt for you to enjoy. Check it out, only 1:40 min.

This is our first time doing a short from a CreativeMornings talk. What do you think about this format?

This Friday marks the very first event for CreativeMornings/Edmonton. The speaker to kick off the Alberta-based chapter will be Michael Brechtel, who has helped to lead two of the fastest growing ad agencies in Western Canada and is currently building a boutique Advertising and Public Relations agency, Berlin. He was the founding chair of interVivos, founding co-chair of artsScene Edmonton, and one of the four “instigators” of the Reboot Alberta movement.

He was a co-host and co-founder of TEDxEdmonton and TEDxCanadian rockies, and hosts both a monthly “TED talks at lunch” dialogue and the TEDxEdmonton Salon Series. He was named one of Edmonton’s “Sizzling 20 Under 30″ for 2008, recognized as “Next Up” by Alberta Venture in 2010, and as one of Edmonton’s 2010 40 under 40 by Avenue Magazine.
