Ljubljana, Slovenia marks our 49th chapter for CreativeMornings. Welcome aboard!
Fun fact: The dragon is the symbol for the city, shown on the top of a tower in the Ljubljana Castle, standing for power, courage, and greatness.
There are several stories for where the dragon came from, but the most famous one originates from the Greek tales of Jason and the Argonauts. The tale is that Jason sailed up the Danube, then the Sava and then the Ljubljanica before finally having make the journey to the Adriatic Sea. While en route, Jason and his crew came across a lake that was home to the Ljubljanan dragon. It is said that Jason fought bravely, slaying the beast, and making it a symbol for the city.
The chapter will be organized by Gregor Zakelj, and you can follow along with them here.

Hip-hip-hooray! Three cheers to Dublin, Ireland, one of our newest CreativeMornings chapters.
Did you know that Dublin is home to Guinness Black Beer? And the Ha'penny Bridge (pictured above). The latter gets its name from the half penny toll you have to pay to cross it.
The chapter will be organized by Brian Colhoun, and you can follow along with them here.
