Moving to America at the age of 12, Vansana Nolintha found himself alone and scared with questions about his future. His sister joined him a few years later and the two begin to find solace in cooking food from their home in Laos, native dishes that brought the siblings comfort and peace.

Years later, the story comes full circle as the brother-sister team opens a Laotian restaurant in North Carolina, hoping to share their heritage and experiences with others. Vansana speaks at our CreativeMornings/Raleigh chapter. Watch his talk. →
