Getting in the mindset for this month’s global theme “Freedom,“ brought to you by Shutterstock, we worked with their talented team to create something around this month’s theme. Pulling from past CreativeMornings talks, we chose quotes that resonated with us for their positive message on creative freedom.
This quote comes from Josh Rose’s CreativeMornings/LosAngeles talk. See the rest of videos over on the Shutterstock Blog. →
In Los Angeles, Sharon Ann Lee aka CultureBrain teaches us how to be successful doing more of the stuff you love and are good at and less of the stuff you hate and suck at.
Remember YACHT’s talk on Play? They mentioned the app they were working on that offers up five interesting things to do in Los Angeles, every day.
It’s live! You can download it in the iTunes store for FREE.
“Selected by a brain trust of local artists, musicians and designers, 5 Every Day is a daily calendar for urban exploration. Without a future or a past, it encourages you to check out something new—not tomorrow, not next week, but today.”
This month is a particularly special talk themed after childhood. Who is speaking? Justin Lyon, a local multi-talented photographer and television person and so, so much more. What has he worked on? Well, a little game-changing show called Yo Gabba Gabba! He’s a Southern California by way of Idaho creative who is truly a homegrown story, from his Art Center start to recent production company opening. To get a bit of a preview of his Friday talk, we spoke with Justin about his work and what to expect in his talk.”

Josh Fassbind describes himself as an environmental portrait photographer. Born and raised in Geneva, the Swiss-American photographer was a frequent attendee at our Geneva chapter—setting up photobooths with props around our various themes and capturing the faces of our attendees.
Recently relocating to Los Angeles, Josh has been attending our chapter’s events there and set up a booth at their October event in honor of their third birthday.
You can read more about it on his blog here and check out the album on Facebook. →
