Some of our favorite people, Ryan & Tina Essmaker, the husband-and-wife team behind The Great Discontent (TGD) are taking a risk to quit their day jobs a print their first physical issue. Let’s make this happen!
We have some pretty talented folks in the CreativeMornings community, one of which is our extra wonderful Barcelona host Vasco Mourao, who creates intricate illustrations of architecture like this one of Central Park.
At our Melbourne chapter, Simon and Jenna Hipgrave of The Hungry Workshop speak on their passion for storytelling through design, process, craft and collaboration. Hands-on with many aspects of each project, the duo are often quite literally rolling up their sleeves and getting elbow deep in creating a perfect execution.
“We are a studio that believes in the narrative that drives us all. We hold in equal regard the process, craftsmanship and origin of every aspect of every project.”
We’re majorly impressed with these prints done by Baltimore Print Studios in collaboration with the fine folks of Power & Light Press. Inspired by coffee and the printmaking presses in their own shop, these editions challenge which is truly the best press.
We have this great print hanging in our HQ of Studiomates. Printed by Baltimore Print Studios, it’s nice to be reminded that hard work pays off. We couldn’t agree more.
‘Tis the season.. for some lovely wood type gift wrap by the folks at Baltimore Print Studios.
We love this wrapping paper printed from hand-set vintage wood type. Each roll of paper contains 3 sheets, one of each color in red, silver, and green. Sheets measure 19x26. Get some here.
We’re huge fans of this set of prints by the Baltimore Print Studio. Suckers for anything morning-related, we love the Rise & Shine print, but today—you can pick up both for only $45!
Using all the tricks, these prints are letterpress printed from the backs of wood type to get that beautiful, end-grain pattern and printed with a lovely gradient. We think they look smashing in the bedroom of adults and kids alike.
